Original strap was some type of silicone, it survive one summer of sailing and boat work (yes I forget to remove my watches all the time). I ordered a rather expensive leather band from another company (a while back - was the only one I could find back then). It was OK for a bit then I started developing a rash and stopped wearing it up until I came across this band. I am very impressed with the quality of this band, so far it is taking abuse better than either of the previous bands. If the quality remains this good, I'll be back for other colors/styles.

Bands are ok
The one strap upon putting it on my watch instantly fell off and was not usable. It is not clear in the picture, but the strap is attached to the watch with a spring loaded clip onto the little bar. It just did not stay on. I could have returned it, but it was not an easy process. I glued the latch on both sides so it can't unlatch. It now works fine. It is a little silly to add the clip on feature, I guess it could be a nice feature if it worked.
