How to choose a Garmin watch band

Garmin uses two different attachment systems, so the first thing to check is which one your watch takes. After that it comes down to size and material.

QuickFit vs Quick Release

QuickFit bands snap on and off by hand with no tools, and are used on larger outdoor models such as the Fenix, Epix, tactix and MARQ. Quick Release bands use a small sliding spring-bar pin and are found on slimmer models such as the Forerunner, Venu and Vivoactive. The two are not interchangeable, so match the system your watch uses before you order.

Garmin band sizes: 18mm to 26mm

Garmin bands are sold by lug width rather than by watch name, because several models share the same width. QuickFit comes in 20mm, 22mm and 26mm, and slimmer models such as the Venu 3s, Venu 4 41mm and Forerunner 265s take 18mm. Our size guide lists the exact width for every Garmin model.

Silicone, nylon, leather or metal

Silicone is the default for running, swimming and everyday wear because it rinses clean and handles sweat. Nylon is lighter and more breathable for long days outdoors. Leather dresses the watch up but is better kept away from water. Stainless steel and titanium give the most formal look at the cost of extra weight.

Garmin watch band questions

How do I change a Garmin watch band?

For QuickFit, press the release lever on the underside of the band and lift it away from the watch, then press the new band down until it clicks. For Quick Release, slide the small pin on the back of the band toward the centre, lift the band out, and repeat in reverse with the new one. Neither system needs a tool.

Will these fit my Fenix, Forerunner or Venu?

Every band in this collection lists the Garmin models and lug width it fits on its own product page. Between them, our bands cover the Fenix range including the Fenix 8, plus the Epix, Forerunner, Venu, Vivoactive, Instinct, Approach, Descent, Enduro, MARQ and tactix families.

Are these bands sweat and water resistant?

Our silicone and nylon Garmin bands are built for training and handle sweat, rain and swimming. Rinse them with fresh water after pool or ocean use. Leather bands are not designed to be worn in water.
