The Inspire 3 is small, light and easy to forget you are wearing, which makes it one of the better trackers to dress up. The stock silicone band is fine for the gym and does the tracker no favours anywhere else.
Here are the options that change how it looks, and what each is actually good for.
Metal and mesh
Stainless steel mesh is the most transformative swap. The magnetic clasp slides to any position, so it sizes exactly, and in gold or rose gold it turns the Inspire 3 into something closer to a bracelet with a screen than a fitness tracker.
Thin steel bands do a similar job with a more structured look. On a case as narrow as the Inspire 3, slim is the operative word: a wide metal band overwhelms the proportions.
Worth knowing before you buy: metal bands are heavier than silicone and hold sweat in the links. Most people who wear one keep a silicone band for workouts and swap between them, which takes about ten seconds.
Beaded and bracelet styles
Beaded elastic bands are popular on the Inspire 3 specifically, because the tracker is small enough to sit within the design rather than interrupt it. They stretch on, so there is no clasp to fasten one-handed.
The trade-off is fit. An elastic band sits where it sits, and if it is loose the heart-rate sensor will read motion rather than pulse. Size carefully.
Leather
A slim leather band reads as a bracelet strap on a tracker this size, which is exactly the point. It suits an office better than anything else on this list.
Leather and water do not mix. If you shower or swim with your tracker, leather is a second band rather than your only one.
Patterned and printed silicone
Silicone does not have to mean plain black. Printed and patterned silicone keeps everything practical about the material, the sweat resistance, the easy cleaning, the comfort overnight, while looking considerably less like gym kit.
This is the low-commitment option: cheap enough to own several and swap by mood.
Nylon and woven
Woven nylon is the lightest and most breathable choice, and the most comfortable for sleep tracking. It comes in more colours than any other material and dries faster than leather after a wet day, though slower than silicone.
Which to pick
If you want one band that does everything, patterned silicone. If you want the biggest visual change, gold or rose gold mesh. If you wear the tracker to an office, slim leather. If you sleep in it every night, woven nylon.
Most people end up with two: something soft for workouts and overnight, something metal or leather for the rest.
Check the model before you order
Inspire 3 bands do not fit the Inspire 2, Inspire 1 or Inspire HR, and vice versa. The connector changed between generations even though the trackers look similar.
Several of our Inspire bands are made for both groups and carry a model selector on the product page, so you choose Inspire 3 or the Inspire 2, 1 and HR group when you order and we ship the matching connector.
A note on fit
Whatever you choose, the tracker should sit snug against the skin about a finger's width above the wrist bone. Too loose and heart-rate readings drift. Too tight restricts blood flow and skews them the other way.
Mesh and closely spaced silicone make this easy to dial in. Elastic and beaded bands do not adjust at all, so size those with more care.
